With over 25 years of experience both on and off the field, Coach Nas is dedicated to inspiring and mentoring the next generation of cricketers. As an ECB Level 2 Certified Coach and a member of the ECB Coaches Association, he brings expertise in batting, spin bowling, and fielding, along with proficiency in wicketkeeping and fast bowling. Fully insured and holding an enhanced DBS certificate with child safeguarding qualifications, Nas ensures a safe and supportive environment for all players.
Nas’s cricketing journey is marked by remarkable achievements. For the past 18 years, he has been actively playing in the UK, with highlights including a 211 not out in a 40-over match for Stansted CC (2023), a 50-ball century in a 15-over cup game, and best bowling figures of 6 for 23 (2020). Before relocating to the UK, Nas was an accomplished cricketer in India. He represented the Kerala State Cricket Team, governed by the Kerala Cricket Association and played for the Calicut University Cricket Team. Additionally, he captained both his school and college cricket teams, showcasing his leadership skills and dedication to the sport.
Beyond cricket, Nas offers a wealth of additional skills. As the founder of Gild Sports Therapy Clinic, he is deeply involved in sports therapy and injury rehabilitation, helping individuals recover and perform at their best. Holding a BSc (Hons) and a Master’s Degree in Business Management, Nas understands the importance of balancing sports with academics. Additionally, as a trained Mental Health First Aider, he provides valuable support for players facing challenges on or off the field.

We are thrilled to introduce Coach Babu Veettil, an exceptional all-rounder and an experienced ECB Level 2 coach, to the NAS Cricket Hub coaching team. With over 30 years of cricketing expertise, Babu brings a wealth of knowledge, skill, and passion to the field, making him an invaluable addition to our youth coaching programs and cricket camps.
Babu has been a pivotal member of Andover Cricket Club in the Southern Premier League since 2016. Known for his fiery fast bowling and powerful batting, he has consistently delivered match-winning performances. His best bowling figures of 6/9 came in a memorable game against Totton and Eling CC in 2021, showcasing his incredible ability to dominate with the ball. As a batter, he is a hard-hitting powerhouse who narrowly missed a 48-ball century against St Cross Symondians CC, a blistering knock that included 6 sixes and 8 fours, leaving spectators in awe.
Beyond his impressive on-field achievements, Babu is a dedicated and active member of Andover CC, contributing not only as a player but also as a coach. His vast experience and deep understanding of the game have earned him respect and admiration within the cricketing community.
